more than 211,000 women will be
diagnosed with breast cancer and 43,300
die. One
in seven women either has or will develop
breast cancer in her lifetime. In addition,
1,600 MEN will be diagnosed with breast
cancer, and 400 will die this year. If
detected
early, the 5 year survival rate exceeds 95%,
yet 13 million U.S. women 40+ years old
have never had a mammogram.
The Pink Project is a collaborative effort of
myself and the BPRC. I do this for all those
who we lost to breast cancer, all those who
are fighting breast cancer, and all those
who will be diagnosed with it. This is for
the sisters, mothers, daughters, friends, and
anyone this disease will effect.
